First graders learned how children in other countries celebrate Christmas. We decorated and ate Yule logs in France. They are sure to bring us good luck all year.

First grade working together to build a bridge for the gingerbread man.
First grade students were asked to work as a team to build a bridge for the gingerbread man to cross the river. We learned about folktales in reading this week and read the story of the gingerbread man.
Pre-k had so much fun during our family ornament making days. Thank you for all of the help! I know the residents at Bowman Estates and Hawthorne Inn will love all of the handmade ornaments.
Mrs. Farrell's class had a visitor today. Monica Nyman from the St. Louis District Dairy Council came because we participate in the Adopt-a-calf program. She brought bracelets and stickers and helped us write a thank you letter to a dairy farmer for all of his hard work.

2nd Graders in Mrs. Farrell's room explored with magnets after reading the selection "Magnets Work" in our text book.
First grade had a blast using scooters to race and try to spell a word first!

Fourth grade took their Kindergarten buddies on a sail on the Mayflower. They learned about the Pilgrim's voyage and sampled hard tack(crackers), salted beef (Slim Jims), and root beer.
Our kindergarten friends have been learning about the first Thanksgiving. We celebrated Thanksgiving by having a “feast” with foods similar to the first Thanksgiving meal! Turkey, popcorn, and cornbread with HOMEMADE butter!
Third graders were scientists today! We made corn dance and clarified Coca-cola.
