Heads up! We are moving the date of our Grandparents Day event and activities. Originally, we had it on our calendar for April 12th, however we are going to do Solar Eclipse themed activities and will be moving our event to April 5th. One of our crafts will involve creating a viewer to use on April 8th to safely watch the Solar Eclipse. We will provide more specifics about how the day will run closer to the actual day, but wanted to provide a month' advance notice of the change so family can adjust.

On Wednesday, Judge Mockbee visited with our 4th graders to read a story about Abraham Lincoln and to learn a bit about what it is like to be a judge. Kids had an excellent time meeting a local judge and learning more about how our legal system works. Thanks Judge Mockbee for taking time to visit with our students!

BHES is planning on holding our Pie the Principal event to go along with our Kids Heart Challenge drive on March 15th at 1:15. With help from our students, families, and community we raised over $11,000 in donations for the American Heart Association. A total of 56 students raised $100 or more in donations and get the opportunity to Pie Mr. Click in the face. We will be holding the pie throwing on the blacktop by our playground(if weather cooperates) and since this could not have happened without our community's support, we want to invite all of our friends and families to watch. Parking will be along Chicago heading north of the school. Please feel welcome to come and enjoy seeing Mr. Click get covered in pie. We appreciate all of your support and getting the opportunity to work with your amazing students every day.
