WHAT A DAY! We had Fuzzy Friday (on a Thursday 🤭) where we had several students earn warm fuzzies! Mrs. Schaumburg's and Mrs. Powell's classes earned the Colby awards for great overall behavior and Mrs. Heinrichs/Farrell's class earned the Chow Hall Challenge award for positive behavior in the lunch room.
Oh and it was JEFFMAS! We celebrated our amazing custodian with a fun song! We hope all of our families have a great break! ONE MORE DAY!

The Bismarck-Henning Elementary School Winter Concert will be held on December 4th at 6:30 PM in BHRA's Wilcox Gymnasium. Doors will open at 5:30 PM. Students are to dress their best {holiday colors encouraged} and be in their assigned seats between 6:00 PM and 6:15 PM.

BHES students honored local veterans yesterday with a Veterans Day assembly! Student gave the historical background on some patriotic songs and sang them to our veterans. We are so thankful for all of the brave men and women who have chosen the selfless act of military service! 🇺🇸

On Monday, 4th grade held their own presidential election!
Students and staff stopped by and cast their vote on who they wanted to see elected to be our next president.
4th grade wants to remind everyone to do their part on Tuesday and vote!
What a beautiful day for a Finley Farms Hayride!
BHES students had a blast on Tuesday when Kyle Finley provided hayrides for each class. Several awesome BHES Parent's Club volunteers spent their day riding along with teachers and students. We cannot wait to do this again next year!
This week BHES and Ridgeview Baptist Church partnered together for a Trunk or Treat event at the school. Several BHES staff members, Bismarck Firefighters, and Ridgeview Baptist members gave candy to the kids in the Bismarck community.
A huge thank you to Rideview Baptist and McLanes Midwest for donating a TON of candy!

On November 11th at 1:30, BHES will be holding a Veterans Day program to recognize and honor local individuals who have served in the military. We want to invite any local veterans to join us and be celebrated in our gymnasium that day. If you are a veteran who plans to join us on the 11th, please contact our office at (217)759-7251 or email Mr. Foster at tfoster@bismarck.k12.il.us to tell us who you are, what branch you served in, and number of years of service in order to help us prepare for the event.
Good luck to Bismarck Youth Football this weekend where both the Freshman (3rd & 4th Grade) and the Varisty (7th & 8th Grade) teams will play in the Super Bowl in their age division.
