Mrs. Sweeney' class had a blast seeing if they could run faster than a dinosaur!

Giving is not just about making a donation. It is about making a difference! BHES sends out a big thank you to the Bismarck Men's Club for their continued support of our students. The donations and school supplies will make such a difference to our kids!

New staff heard from BHRA's Myron Ward. In his 50th year of education, he positively presented his view on teaching. "What do we make? We make a difference. No one expects to become wealthy by teaching but there are many rewards that can't be measured monetarily." --Mr. Ward

Thursday & Friday are the last days to purchase NED items. The table is set up by the cafeteria as students enter school in the mornings.

The students had a blast at the kindness assembly!!

The Kindness Adventure came to BHES today! What a great way to learn about spreading kindness!

What a fun time in 2nd grade with Mrs. Gernand for Ag in the Classroom! She taught us about wheat, helped us thresh the wheat to separate the wheat from the chaff, and finally we ground the seeds into flour.

We had another fun Ag in the Classroom with Mrs. Gernand! She taught us how wheat can be made into flour and even let us help her make some flour! 🌾🚜👩🏻🌾

We are looking for one additional parent volunteer to be at camp all week and assist the instructors as needed. This will allow you to send two children at a reduced rate ($105 each).
We are also looking for 7th-12th grade students that would like to be mentors to the younger students. This position will provide 40 documented community service hours to the 10th-12th grade mentors. 7th-9th grade students have a reduced registration fee but 10th-12th grade students are free.
Parents must provide transportation to and from Camp Invention for all campers and mentors. Miss Kim at BHES is working on providing lunches that week at the same price as during the school year.
We will have 2 scholarships available. If you would like your student to attend but are unable to pay the registration fee, please reach out to acarpenter@bismarck.k12.il.us.
