On Veterans Day, students in the foods and nutrition classes learned about the chemical reaction that occurs when water is added to MRE heater bags, activating the chemicals to create heat. They sampled MREs in class today. Michael, who is committed to serving in the U. S. Army, said his favorite is the cheese tortellini in tomato sauce. This week Mrs. Guminski's World History classes concluded their unit on the Middle Ages with a lesson on the Vikings. Students learned about the Viking voyages of conquest, their contributions to the English language and challenged each to games of Tretavl, the Viking version of Tic Tac Toe.
