These two individuals truly represent what it means to lead with kindness, respect, and positivity every single day. Their actions make our school a better place, and we are so proud of the example they set for others.
Lisa Story has served as Librarian for BHRA and BH since 2013 and has faithfully led our library program for 13 years. She supports nearly every discipline, ensuring staff and students have the resources they need to succeed. She thoughtfully selects literature that enriches and diversifies our collection, strengthening learning across grade levels. Most importantly, she creates a welcoming and safe environment where students feel valued and supported. In addition, she assists with Chromebook troubleshooting and countless daily needs. Lisa’s dedication, knowledge, and genuine compassion make a lasting and meaningful impact on our school community.
Hilary Mathis serves as an English Teacher as well as a Learning Specialist, skillfully supporting a wide range of learners each day. She builds meaningful relationships with students grounded in mutual respect and trust, creating an environment where they feel both supported and challenged. Hilary consistently pushes students beyond their comfort zones, encouraging them to grow academically and personally, while earning their admiration and respect. In addition, she holds the qualifications to teach Dual Enrollment Rhetoric courses, allowing students to earn college credit. As Coach of the Scholastic Bowl Team and a respected leader in the building, her impact reaches far beyond the classroom.
