We will head out to the blacktop around 1:40 this afternoon to begin watching the Moon pass in front of the Sun. The eclipse will be at its most total around 2:08 PM. Students will be wearing approved Solar Filter Glasses. We will also have pairs of Solar Filter Glasses available to any family and community members who wish to join us today. Wednesday we have an early dismissal at 1:00 for Teacher Professional Development. If your student will have any changes to their dismissal routine, please send a note or call the office. We held our Pie the Principal event today to celebrate another amazing Kids Heart Challenge. Kids who went above and beyond participation and earned $100 or more in donations got to hit Mr. Click in the face with a pie. Good morning We are so excited to begin day 131 of our school year. Today is Friday March 15th Parent-Teacher Conferences are March 20th and 21st from 4:00PM to 8:00PM each evening. A person who is working to be a good citizen works to do their part. Everyone needs to be involved to make sure everything is taken care of. We will hold out Pie the Principal Event for the Kids Heart Challenge earners that raised over $100 or more in donations on today outside on the blacktop north of the school. Family, friends, and community members are welcome to come join us since we could not have raised over $11,000 without everyone’s help. We all at BHES are so happy to see everyone come to school each day. Myself and all the teachers care about you all and want to make every day as awesome as we can. The 50 stars in the flag stand for the fifty states of our country. The 13 stripes stand for the original 13 colonies that started our nation. Each color also stands for something specific. Blue is for justice and perseverance, red is for valor and resilience, and white is for innocence. If your student will not be attending school for the day, please make sure you call the office and let us know. Please call us by 9am each day your student is absent. (A ClassDojo message is not enough since those sometimes go unread until later in the day). If your student will having any changes in their normal routine (leaving early, dismissal changes, etc.) please send a note to give to the teacher. This is an extremely important step to ensure we get out students where they need to be and to keep them safe.
