Due to the Governor's rulings - BHRA/BHJH/BHES will be closed until Mon, March 30th. Staff should report Monday from 8-1.
Students can come access lockers from 8-1 Mon to grab any books or items needed during this shutdown.
More information will be released as it's available.


Schedule change for next week on Thursday (3/19).
Thursday (3/19) will be a Teacher’s Institute from 8am – 1pm. Students will not be in attendance. This will give the teachers a full day to work on E-Learning.
Monday (3/16) – Regular Day
Tuesday (3/17) – Regular Day
Wednesday (3/18) - Early dismissal (2:10/2:15)
Parent-Teacher Conferences (4pm-8pm)
Thursday (3/19) – Teacher’s Institute (8am – 1pm) No student attendance
Parent-Teacher Conference (4pm – 8pm)
Friday (3/20) – No School
**If parents would prefer not to come into the buildings for P/T Conferences, a phone conference can be conducted instead. Please contact the appropriate office to request a phone conference.**


Our incentive day is tomorrow! Students who have met positive behavior goal will jump in bounce houses. Measures will be taken to wash hands often while still having fun! If you don't want your child to jump, please send a note to school. An alternative reward will be offered.

Please take a moment and read the County Schools Facility Tax information flyer below. This is on the ballot for voter consideration on Tuesday, March 17th.



During Ag In The Classroom today, Mrs. Gernand taught 2nd Grade about seeds and helped each student make his or her own "Seed House".





If you have a student that will be attending KINDERGARTEN at BHES in the 20/21 school year, please call our office at 217-759-7251 to schedule a Kindergarten Screening. Screenings will occur May 11th and May 12th by appointment. If your student currently attends PreK at BHES, they do not need to be screened. Our office is open Monday-Friday, 7:30-3:30.

We had plenty of talent at our February Fuzzy Friday! We had 4th grade boys make a human table, a rubik’s cube solved in less that a minute, and a song sang to us! Our favorite PE teacher also sang us his favorite song! 💙🐻❤️

Third grade had such a fun time learning about and dissecting un-fertilized eggs today!





4th Grade had an ‘Egg-citing’ time during Ag in the Class today!
