Attention BHES Families: The long awaited day has arrived! Class lists for the upcoming school year are now posted on the front doors of the elementary school. Please stop by and check which classroom teacher your student will have for the year. Unfortunately, TeacherEase will not display student homerooms yet because it will not turn over to the new school year until the first day of school. These lists will not be posted on social media in an attempt to protect your students’ privacy. Can’t wait to get this school year started and to get to have a blast learning new things!

The 4th grade teachers were tasked with the difficult decision to only nominate one boy and one girl from their classrooms to earn the Principal's Award for Outstanding Student and Student Citizen. We have much more than two students per class that could have been nominated. Mrs. Powell nominated Cooper Thorlton and Lettie Martin. Mrs. Miller nominated Quincey LeBeane and DJ Hayes. Mrs. Whitt nominated Keaton Sullivan and Keegan Hill. Mrs. Miethe nominated Reece Larsen and Drew Gernand. As the prinicpal I chose Reece and DJ to receive the award this year. I am very proud of all of these students as well as the others who were not nominated because of the limit. We have so many great people who come to school every day, it was truly difficult to narrow it down to so few of them.

First grade enjoyed a virtual visit from the traveling naturalist! We learned about migration, hibernation, and other ways animals here survive the winter. This was the perfect way to wrap up our reading lessons on how animals survive!
