Meet Kristi Powell Hometown: I was born in Ann Arbor, Michigan, but Bismarck is my home now! Who was one of your favorite teachers growing up and why? Miss Arnt. She was so patient and kind. She let me stay after school to help her. She was great at building relationships! What is your favorite activity to do outside of school? I love spending time with my family! I enjoy watching my kids play sports, being outdoors and reading. 🏈🌻📖 If you weren’t doing your current job, what other job would you want to do? I can’t imagine not teaching now, but I almost went to college for physical therapy. I also find art very soothing, so if I was good enough, I’d enjoy creating art of some kind professionally. 👩‍🎨 What is a fun fact about you? I love the ocean. I could spend hours walking the beach. In fact, once my family thought I was lost or abducted because I wandered so far down the beach. I also love water related activities - hiking to waterfalls, white water rafting, and even cliff jumping! 🏖 Mrs. Powell, BHES is so lucky to have you! Thank you for all of wonderful ways you make 3rd grade fun!
