
The Academic Challenge team competed at EIU on Thursday. Kevin Clapp took home the second place medal in the Computer Science competition.


Students in Foods and Nutrition classes practiced their culinary skills while baking and decorating cakes for the Bismarck-Henning Junior High Fun Night cake walk. Unfortunately, the Fun Night is cancelled. However, you are still in luck and can purchase a cake on the Bismarck-Henning Junior High Booster Club page.

Schedule change for next week on Thursday (3/19).
Thursday (3/19) will be a Teacher’s Institute from 8am – 1pm. Students will not be in attendance. This will give the teachers a full day to work on E-Learning.

Due to the constantly evolving situation with COVID-19 we have decided to postpone the parent meeting for the London, Paris & Berlin trip that was scheduled for 3/16/20. This is just a precautionary measure and we will let everyone know the new meeting date as soon as possible.

Congratulations Drew Reifsteck for making the Associated Press 1st team All-State Team. He had the 3rd highest voter total. If you missed seeing him play, you surely missed something special—a WINNER!

For solely precautionary reasons and to ease concerns, BHRA has decided to postpone tonight’s Winter Sports Awards night.

Tonight's indoor track meet in Champaign has been cancelled. There will be practice until 4:30.


Just a reminder: The winter sports banquet is tonight at 6:30 in the MPR.



Monday, March 16th @ 6:30 pm in the Team Room there will be a meeting for parents of all those interested in coming with Mrs. Post and Mrs. Tidwell to London, Paris & Berlin during spring break 2021. Looking forward to seeing many of you there!


So close! Our guys battled to the last second but came up one game short of a trip to Peoria. This team has certainly been special. Drew called this loss “heartbreaking” and many of us felt some of that same emotion. We encourage anyone attending the game to purchase tickets at BHRA (see earlier post) but this is Additional Information from University of Illinois-Springfield:
UIS office will sell tickets Monday 10 am - 4 pm and Tuesday 9 am - 4 pm.
The UIS lobby on Tuesday will open at 5 pm for ticket sales.
Doors to the gym will open at 6 pm.
Game begins at 7 pm.
PARKING WILL FILL UP FAST! There is plenty of parking, it's just not all directly outside of our building. Encourage fans to purchase tickets ahead and time and to arrive early or plan their schedules to have to walk a little bit!

We have 1000 tickets for Tuesday’s Super Sectional basketball game. All tickets are general admission and $8 each. Please pay with exact change or check payable to BHRA.
Ticket Selling schedule:
Sunday noon-2pm (750) in Wilcox Lobby
Monday morning students may purchase single tickets only.
Monday afternoon the remainder are open to public.
The game begins at 7 PM and doors to the gymnasium will open precisely 1 hour prior to tip. UIS capacity is 2500.
