Today we presented our narrative papers in English III. Presentations weren’t on the schedule, but after one student suggested it, everyone else wanted to participate, too! I’m so impressed and proud of these outstanding students!

The Illinois Army National Guard visited our Strength and PE classes this week. They brought many different activities and held many competitions. Thank you to Sergeant Markley and the rest of the guard for volunteering their time and investing in our students at BHRA.

Our Ag Science class is getting their hands dirty learning about soil texture!
Mrs. DeGolyer’s Biology class got a chance to design their own experiments to practice identifying variables, looking at controlled experiments, and the parts of a lab. We voted as a class on which lab to do and completed an egg drop today!
The Horticulture class completed a flower dissection and created edible flower models today!

They received information on types of college degrees, cost of college, how to pick a major, apprenticeships, scholarships, military opportunities, how to find the right fit in a college, using the ISAC college match tool, exploring social opportunities at colleges, financial aid, and more!
