In our 8th grade science class, the students are putting their knowledge into motion with a roller coaster project! Students are exploring how kinetic energy and gravitational energy work together by designing their own coasters.

They had to consider height, speed, and mass, just like real engineers, while also using their creativity to showcase how these two forms of energy interact. The results are amazing and has truly impressed Mrs. Huber!

6th grade Reading/Language Arts students are wrapping up their mini-research projects on dogs. Each student chose a breed they were interested in and gathered eight specific details about it. After handwriting a rough draft, they are now typing their final drafts, using the rubric and their research to guide revisions.

The students have uncovered lots of fascinating facts about our favorite companions! For example, did you know that “Pit Bull” is not actually a single breed but a term that refers to several breeds, including the American Bull Terrier and the Staffordshire Bull Terrier?

Find more out about your favorite dog breed HERE: https://www.akc.org/dog-breeds/ and HERE https://dogtime.com/dog-breeds
