Our schools are seeing an increase in the number of students contracting strep throat. Group A streptococcus bacteria are very contagious. The bacteria that causes strep throat travels in respiratory droplets that are created when an infected person coughs or sneezes. To help us reduce strep throat infections please take a moment to review the Parent Fact Sheet.
