  • Parents!  If you haven’t already, please take a minute and complete the 5Essential Survey.  The survey closes March 31st.  You can find it here.

  • From Nurse Kelly: Our schools are seeing an increase in the number of students contracting strep throat. Group A streptococcus bacteria are very contagious. The bacteria that causes strep throat travels in respiratory droplets that are created when an infected person coughs or sneezes. To help us reduce strep throat infections please take a moment to review the Parent Fact Sheet. 

  •  If you are planning on taking a College Express course next year, please turn those applications in ASAP. The last day to turn in an application is next Wednesday, March 15th.   • Latest video announcements.

  • Softball practice will be at 4:15 outside all this week.

  • We have extra graduation announcements for sale in the office.  $1.50/ea or 25/$35.  First come first serve - cash only.

  • Want to donate your time to helping others and gain life experience? Come volunteer at Carle Foundation Hospital. This summer we have nonclinical, clinical, clerical and other opportunities available. 

    • There will also be information on healthcare careers. Get more information Tuesday March 7th during advisory period in the Counseling Lobby. 

  • Devilette Dance open practices on 3/8 from 5:15pm-6:15pm in the MPR for anyone who is interested in trying out next year.

  • Parent/Teacher Conferences are 4pm-8pm on March 15th & 16th.  Please sign up here for a time slot.  If you have any questions or problems signing up, please reach out to Jenny at jhuffman@bismarck.k12.il.us.

  • Hoopeston is accepting applications for summer work at the pool as a lifeguard or assistant manager.  To apply go to the City of Hoopeston website.  Must be 15 to lifeguard and 18 to manage.  Applications are due February 17th.  ?Questions? Call Kristi Hudson @ 217-772-1064.

  • Order your yearbook here or you may send a check/cash for $60 to BHRA to Mrs. Stephens.

  • Reminder!  If your student will not be attending school for the day, please make sure you call the office and let us know.  Please call us by 9am each day your student is absent.  (Students may not call themselves in, it must be a parent/guardian).  

  • Chromebook cases, styluses, and chargers for sale in the office.  Styluses are $30 and chargers are $35.  Cases are $20 new and $10 used.

  • Athletic Passes on sale now.  Individual $60 and Family $124 (includes all members of 1 household).  Send cash or check to Jenny with a list of all members in the household if purchasing a family pass.
