BHRA Remote Learning Update
Parents,

Unfortunately, over the course of the last week, there has been a significant rise in the number of local cases of COVID-19 in the area and specifically connected to BHRA. This has led to the decision to move the high school to remote learning starting this Friday. Tomorrow (Thursday) will be our last day of in-person learning until December 3rd.

We have been working closely with the Vermilion County Health department throughout and have been following their guidelines. I am very proud of the efforts that our staff has made in keeping our kids safe while still somehow providing a quality education for both in-person and remote learners.

These are difficult decisions to make as many of our students struggle with remote learning. We have learned much throughout this year and note that our most successful students are those that maintain a routine as if they were in-school following the class schedule throughout the day. Please insist that your student do the same if at all possible. Sleeping in and trying to catch up later has been a recipe for failure as well as being disrespectful to the efforts of our teachers. If there are special circumstances that prevent a student from being able to accomplish this, please communicate that with the teacher or call the office. We are here to help.

Please keep in mind that this move to remote learning only affects BHRA High School.

Thank you for understanding. We will get through this together!”

“Whatever it takes!”

Respectfully,
