• Buy a sweet treat to support a great cause! On May 2nd the BHRA Student Leaders will be sponsoring the 2nd Annual Aaron Elster Memorial Bake Sale. Money raised will support education programs at the Illinois Holocaust Musuem. Hope to see you there!

• There is a parent meeting for the Devilettes this Saturday, May 4th at 10am in the commons.
• Key Clubbers:  Anyone who is available is more than welcome to help clean bottle caps after school this week.  Meet in Mr. Beukelman's room after school, and we'll get to cleaning and sorting!  Thank you for your help.  Mr. B
• Congratulations to the Blue Devils baseball team who defeated Armstrong 8-0 last night. Freshman Dawson Dodd dominated on the mound throwing a perfect game, allowing zero base runners and striking out 10. Cooper Watson and Chase Rademacher led the offense. Chase Rademacher also reached a milestone last week by collecting  his 100th career hit as a Blue Devil. Home game today at 430 against Hoopeston.
• Congratulations to the girls softball team for a 17-0 win against Armstrong-Potomac last night.  Laynee Dickison threw a no-hitter.  It was a great team effort by the entire team!
• The boys and girls track teams will practice Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 3:30 to 4:30.
• Congratulations to both the boys and girls track teams for their wins at the Hoopeston multi meet last night, event winners include Sierra Bryant, Emily Meidel, Daisy Smith, Aryn Willard, Lexi Darby, Ryleigh do boys, and Ally Farnsworth. For the boys, Kaleb Lahey, Noah Gomez, Chase Benjamin, Andrew Tingley, Gabe Martinez, Kevin clap, Eli Mojonnier , and Carson white.
• There will be a student council meeting for ALL members today and on Monday, May 6th in the Team Room during homeroom.
• If you are on the Freshmen Fun Night Committee, you will have a meeting on Thursday during homeroom in Mrs. Russell’s Room.
• Sign-ups for school picnic activities will be during lunch.  There will be a corn hole tournament, senior versus staff softball game and weather permitting, slip and slide kick ball.  Rules for the events will be posted around the school.
• Kiwanis Scholarship application is due April 30th. See Mrs. Stephens for more info.
• Yearbook pictures will be taken during homeroom on Wednesday May 1st for the following groups:  FFA, Key Club, Student Council, Chess Team, Scholastic Bowl, FCA, Math Contest participants and WYSE contest participants. Members should meet in Wilcox Gym for pictures.
• The library is still having their annual book sale.  Stop by the library this week and next and find a used book for just a quarter.
• Mrs. Tidwell’s History Classes are running a “Game Drive” FOR THE Veterans at the local V.A from April 29-May 3.  Lists will be posted in the hallways.  Drop off at the office or Mrs. Tidwell’s room.
