  • Any freshman that signed up to be on the Homecoming Committee to come to Sra. Frerichs during advisory today to discuss our theme and color.

  • Fall play auditions will be held in Mrs. Post’s room on Friday, September 1st during advisory period. Students riding the bus will go first followed by the rest.Soccer tonight vs Schlarman - here at BHRA!  Game time at 7pm.

    • If you are auditioning for the fall play and would like to have your lines for the character you plan to read for before the auditions to help prepare yourself, you can come see Mrs. Post for these on Tuesday and Thursday.

  • Varsity Golf will need to be dismissed on Friday, September 1st @ 11:00 am. 

  • Homecoming Playlist Request!  BHRA Students - fill out this form for input on what music is played at Homecoming this year.

  • Fall Athletic Pictures will be Thursday 8/31.  Schedule is below.  Please be ready 15 minutes before your scheduled time.  Senior banners need to be purchased at this time.  Checks Payable to Amanda Richardson.

    • Individual & Team Pictures - If you are paying with cash or check - your order must be turned in on picture day.  If you would like to pay with a credit card, an online ordering link will be sent out after picture day.

    • Senior Banner Orders must be turned in on picture day. There will not be an online ordering option for banners.

  • Seniors - check your email for the PowderPuff shirt order form. Form and $16 are due Monday. 

  • Seniors will have the opportunity to attend the 43rd Annual College Day at DACC on September 14th from 9-10 AM. This day is designed to provide information to senior level students regarding four-year colleges and universities and trade schools. In 2022, 55 different colleges attended from 6 different states, so College Day is the perfect place for students to gather first-hand information concerning application deadlines, costs, housing, academic programs, and financial aid. All students will ride the bus to and from DACC so they can return to the school in time for the Homecoming Assembly that morning. Seniors must sign up using this form and return permission slip to Mrs. Stephens by Friday, September 8th.  FFA kickoff meeting is next Wednesday the 30th at 6:30pm at the school. We'll have outdoor games, food, and a parent meeting! Come see what FFA is all about and help us celebrate the start of the year!

  • 9/5 - Marine Recruiter here during lunches

  • Students without their ID's will have to wait at the end of the line each morning.

  • Students that ran last year for student council but were not elected by their class may petition for non-voting membership. The Executive Board and advisors will consider and select no more than 5 of these applicants. The selected applicants will be announced. Past student council experience and service hours will be considered in making decisions. See Mrs. Russell for an application.  Applications are due by Wednesday, August 30th.

  • Senior meeting on August 30th from 7:30-8:15 regarding cap & gowns and announcements.  Plan to be here!

  • Sophomore class meeting during the advisory period on August 30th.  Jostens will be here to meet you about class rings & letterman jackets.

  • The Blue Devil Booster Club needs you!  The Blue Devil Booster Club supports athletics & activities throughout BHRA.  Their fundraiser is the football concession stand!  We need help rebuilding!  Reach out to Mr. Foster (tfoster@bismarck.k12.il.us) if you are interested in being on the board, being in the committee, or even just helping in the concession stand (we always need this!)  The Booster Club pumps a lot of money back into our school, but they can’t do it without YOU! 

  • Mrs. Frerichs is looking for some alternative seating for her classroom.  If you are cleaning out a room and looking to get rid of bean bags, gaming chairs, etc, please let her know.  She would love to have them!  lfrerichs@bismarck.k12.il.us

Announcements from Mrs. Stephens - Website - Documents

  • BHRA will be offering the optional PSAT/NMSQT to 11th grade students.  The PSAT/NMSQT test will take place the week of October 23rd - 27th (Test is digital this year, specific date TBA).  The test will only be offered once and there is no make-up date. The cost of the exam is $18. To sign up for the exam, please bring payment to Mrs. Stephens by Friday, September 8th
