  • The Wreaths Across America Clean-Up Day has been cancelled for this weekend due to the impending weather.  To those who had volunteered to make it out there, thank you for your willingness to help.
  • Come cheer on the cheerleaders tomorrow! Cheer competition is at 10:00 a.m.  If you want to ride the fan van, please sign up in the office.
  • If you are going to the cheer competition on Saturday, check in with your homeroom teacher today and then head to the Wilcox Gym.  The cheerleaders will be practicing their cheer with you.
  • Juniors and Seniors – A representative from Lakeview College of Nursing will be in the counseling lobby today during homeroom. If you are interested in nursing, this is a great chance to hear more about the program and find out what prerequisites are required. See Mrs. Stephens for a pass.
  • Sophomores – If you haven’t met with the career counselor yet, see Mrs. Stephens to set up an appointment. Mrs. K will be back in the building January 25th.
  • Sophomores – If you are interested in a career in the Health or Engineering fields see Mrs. Stephens to sign up for DACC’s Health Professionals and Engineering Day. Both will be on February 22nd from 9 – 11 AM at DACC. There is limited space, turn your permission slip in ASAP to reserve a spot.
  • Congratulations to the chess team for beating Olympia last night. We had varsity wins from Elijah Huffman, Colin Schaumburg, Trinity Ferrell and Evan Maxwell. Gabe Smith, Dalton Hagley and Michael Wall went undefeated.
  • There was a lot of action last night at the wrestling meet.  Wins were earned by Aden Barron, Garrett Huls, Chris Steidel, Terron Lamm, Cameron Watson, Braxton Wilson, Talen Miller, Isaac Tabels, and Jacob Akins.
  • Scholastic Bowl meeting in Ms. Mathis’s room.  Please stop by before you leave if you can’t make it.
  • CHAMPIONSHIP SHOWDOWN between BHRA & Oakwood Girls game tonight at 8:00 and the Guys tomorrow night at 8:00.  Tonight is Black out night!  Wear black!
  • Next Thursday’s Wrestling Meet – SENIOR NIGHT – In honor of Mr. Head it’s also HARRY POTTER night!  Come dressed as your favorite house to support the wrestling team.
