Bismarck-Henning Rossville-Alvin Cooperative High School Daily Announcements Tuesday, January 12th, 2021


  • The FFA is collecting items for a service project for the animal shelter. If you have them, we could use the following items:

    • Blankets or tshirts (something that won't fray)

    • Boxes (about the size of 2 shoeboxes put together)

    • Tubs (about the size of 2 shoeboxes put together)

    • 1”-2” PVC

  • College Express Update: At a meeting yesterday, it was decided since our class sizes are 10 or less, college express will return to our regularly scheduled , in person learning for all classes at all campuses beginning January 19.  Instructors are being encouraged and reminded to make sure that all of our students are masked and properly socially distanced as well as possible.

  • If you are an in-person student staying home from school for any reason, a parent/guardian  must contact the office and let us know why you are absent.  (You can still log in to your Google Meets, etc, but you MUST have a parent/guardian call the office regarding your absence and to get you checked in for the day).

  • Reports cards are ready for viewing.  We will not be sending home paper copies unless requested (Send email to -- To view your report card on TeacherEase Portal: Login to TeacherEase and click the Report Cards link under the Academics tab.

  • Senior Pictures due to Mrs. Stephens by February 12th!

  • The DACC scholarship application is open and will close March 8, 2021 at 5:00 pm. The application is online at - It can be found by clicking on the Application for Admissions page, the Foundation web page or any of the links below.

Quarantine Information: Questions?  Contact Nurse Kelly Based on CDC recommendations, the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) has given school districts permission to update quarantine procedures for those who are considered a close contact of someone with COVID19.  In consultation with the Vermilion County Health Department the following changes will now be implemented:

New Guidelines:  If exposed, student may return after 10 days, if symptom free the entire 10 days. If there are symptoms at any point during the ten days, then the student must stay home the entire 14 days.  Symptoms include: fever or chills, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fatigue, muscle or body aches, headache, loss of taste or smell, sore throat, congestion, nausea or vomiting, diarrhea.

With both options the following additional criteria through day 14 must be met: • correct and consistent mask use (including within homes), • social distancing, hand and cough hygiene, hand and cough hygiene, environmental cleaning and disinfection, avoiding crowds, ensuring adequate indoor ventilation, monitoring for symptoms of COVID-19 illness, and minimizing contact with persons at increased risk for severe illness, including vulnerable and congregate populations. 

Monitoring can be conducted using any method acceptable by the local public health authorities and can include self-monitoring using an approved checklist of signs and symptoms. Please use the potential symptoms listed on the Teacherease daily check-in as a guide.
