Fall Dual Enrollment US History or Western Civilization

There are a limited number of free books available and they will be given on a first come, first served basis. Please email her at jguminski@bismarck.k12.il.us to sign up or with any questions. In your email, please note which class you are taking.

Prom

  • Prom has tentatively been rescheduled for July 11th.  We are going to do our very best to have it on this date.  Mr. Rademacher has no issue with the boys foregoing the tux and coming in dress clothes, similar to Homecoming.  More information to come.

SAT Opportunity

  • ISBE is working with the College Board on developing options for the class of 2021 to take the SAT in the fall. We are hoping there will be a school day option offered at BHRA. However, students may want to take the SAT at an offsite testing center such as DACC. The next SAT test date is in August and registration is now open. Students can find more information and sign up to test at www.collegeboard.org

Golf Scramble

  • Gather your team and reserve your spot for BHRA Golf’s 4-person scramble.  Call 217-431-2266 to register your team.  It’s happening July 12th.

DACC Testing Alternative (Mendy)

  • New Placement Test Information - DACC has just made the decision to use GPA as an alternative for the ACCUPLACER test for placement into Dual Enrollment U.S. History, Dual Enrollment Rhetoric I and II, Dual Enrollment Western Civ I and II, College Express Criminal Justice and College Express Early Childhood Education.

    • Rules for English Placement based off their high school transcript:

      • High School cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher out of 4.0 places a student into ENGL 121

      • High School cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher out of 4.0 places a student into ENGL 101 (and Dual Enrollment U.S. History, Western Civ. And Rhetoric) IF the student has had at least an A or a B in a sophomore or junior level English class.

    • Students taking Dual Enrollment Calculus will still need to take the ALEKS math test and should have received an email from DACC with instructions.

    • Mrs. Stephens has sent an email out to students who did not place into their requested courses with their GPA. They will still need to take the ACCUPLACER test.
