Spanish III students before teaching their first lessons

Spanish III students enthusiastically accepted the invitation by Junior High teachers to teach Spanish lessons twice a week for four weeks. Spanish III students use their 44 minute class period to go to the Junior High classrooms and teach Spanish for thirty minutes on Wednesdays and Fridays. This year, Spanish lessons are held in each of the 5th and 6th grade classrooms. Also, a group of 8th graders are bringing sack lunches so they can learn Spanish during their lunch hour.

Spanish III students were given eight days to form groups, decide an overall layout of who teaches what and when, then individually required to create and be responsible for the execution of two lessons. Spanish greetings, the Spanish alphabet, numbers, colors and family members are just a few of the lessons that are being taught to Junior High students.

Please see a few pictures we have of our great Spanish III students in action! There are more than a few with the potential to be future educators!
